The Tattoopunk Antebible
A downloadable anti-text
The Tattoopunk Antebible is a collection of game-parts and world-artefacts, designed to inspire the reader to create and play in a Tattoopunk world. It is not a game or a setting, but rather the door to a game or a setting.
In the greatest city in the world, the monolithic Church of Light rules through the social elevation of unblemished flesh, a legion of ever-advancing mechanical enforcers, and through the religification of a burgeoning industrial revolution.
Fighting against this status quo are the tattoopunks: an organisation of intentionally marked folk, rumoured to possess special powers and abilities, that fight for literacy and knowledge for all, the socialisation of industry, and freedom from the bondage of the physical self.
In amongst all this are many factions that vie for power, including the Saints of the Street and their roving red wagons, the underground fighting ring that is the Scar Pitt, the church-sponsored theatre of danger the Ring of Light, the extremist Mask of Ghorr, the kind yet unnerving Skin-seers, the history re-writing New Book, the mysterious and reputation-ruining Blue Hand, the kind and yet superficial Cerusian House, and the High Families and their war-mongering first sons.

A really interesting read. Just enough to let you imagine a world, and how it might be played in various systems. I do wish there had been a little more about the tattoos themselves, and exactly the sorts of powers they convey, but what's there certainly gives you a springboard to flesh out your own fiction from the provided text.
